Rick Bacus

There were frequent family jams at the Bacus household featuring all the great hits from the 30's, 40's and 50's. Rick's mom and dad loved to sing and play piano, accordion, tenor guitar, banjo, ukulele clarinet and harmonica. Rick was introduced to to the ukulele early on. He started taking clarinet lessons in grade school, continuing to study through college earning a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Baker University.

Early 60s', The Beatles started it all..  Bass guitar was Rick's first choice, turning his attention to guitar about ten years later. His passion for music continues to this day and even during these crazy times, new songs are being written and as soon as it's safe out there, the performances will return.

Rick works as a music director, guitarist, bassist, vocalist, audio engineer, producer, educator and music consultant. Rick is also a two time inductee into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame for his work with Kansas City based Stone Wall and Morningstar.  Be sure to check the calendar page for any and all upcoming shows.
